Anoche se entregaron los premios a la televisión, los Emmys 2018. En un ceremonia cargada de criticas a la diversidad en la industria, la pasable conducción de Colin Jost y Michael Che y una increíble propuesta de matrimonio durante la entrega.
La noche comenzó con una musical hablando de la diversidad y como la industria en estos setenta años de entregas de premios, había solucionado la falta de pluralidad en la televisión. Aunque se avanzo mucho debemos tener en cuenta que en 2018 Sandra Oh es la primera mujer asiática en ser nominada a mejor actriz.
Sin lugar a duda The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel fue una de las grandes ganadoras junto con The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
Uno de los mejores momentos de la noche fue cuando mejor el ganador por la dirección de la gala de los Oscars, Glenn Weiss, estaba mencionando sus seres queridos en el discurso de agradecimiento cuando, al referirse a su pareja, quiso dejar claras sus intenciones. “No te menciono como ‘mi novia’ porque en realidad te quiero llamar ‘mi mujer’. Fue así como su novia subió al escenario y Weiss se arodillo entregando el anillo. Tan Hollywoodense, tan increíble, solamente en la televisión pasan esas cosas.
El gran perdedor de la noche fue The Handmaid’s Tale que no gano ninguno de los premios. Y el ganador reivindicandose como mejor drama luego de una excelente séptima temporada fue Game of Thrones.
